Launch a funded pilot with HEATEN.

Funding your heat transition

We design, apply for, and deliver projects that qualify for national and European funding programs - covering a large share of your investment costs.

With HEATEN’s high-temperature heat pumps and our public funding expertise, your decarbonization plan becomes a real, operating project—efficiently, reliably, and financially supported.

Turn your first high-temperature heat pump project into a funded pilot.

Why funding matters

Industrial decarbonization is a European priority. Governments and the EU provide substantial support to replace fossil heat with renewable technologies. Through the right program, eligible projects may receive up to 70% of costs as grants or financial incentives (program- and country-dependent).

What we deliver

  • Program fit & strategy: identify the best national/EU schemes for your site and timeline.

  • Application support: prepare the technical and financial documentation needed to win.

  • Pilot delivery: engineer, install, and commission high-temperature heat pumps.

  • Compliance & reporting: measurement, verification, and paperwork to secure disbursements.

Heat Auction
Innovation Fund

EU-wide tender for industrial decarbonization projects replacing fossil heat with renewable solutions like high-temperature heat pumps. Ideal for first-of-a-kind pilot installations
Competitive auction-based scheme: projects bid for funding based on €/t CO₂ avoided. The most cost-effective projects win grants covering part of the investment.

Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (Germany)

New German funding for industrial heat pumps + thermal storage – ideal for sites with high-temp process heat that want to decarbonize and gain flexibility.
The Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie has launched a new federal funding call under the 8th Energy Research Programme to support large industrial heat pumps and thermal energy storage systems. The call targets real industrial demonstration projects – and projects that combine Module 1 (industrial/large heat pumps) and Module 2 (thermal storage) are explicitly encouraged.

Importantly, it also funds “micro projects” – smaller, preparatory studies that:
  • assess the technical and economic feasibility of integrating heat pumps and/or thermal storage into a specific production process, and
  • prepare a subsequent full-scale implementation project based on real site data.
At HEATEN, we are ready for proposals to demonstrate MW-scale high-temperature heat pumps + thermal storage in industrial processes (120–200 °C), combining CO₂ reduction with improved flexibility (price-driven operation, peak shaving, better use of renewables and waste heat). On the academic side, Fraunhofer IPA and the Universität Stuttgart are already on board as strong partners for modelling, storage integration, monitoring and techno-economic assessment.
