Your Role

As Control Systems Manager (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in leading and advancing Heaten’s industrial automation systems. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Taking full responsibility for the design and development of Heaten’s industrial automation systems, including direct, hands-on involvement in software development when necessary.
  • Collaborating with the CTO to create and maintain a strategic vision for Heaten’s automation systems.
  • Recruiting and leading a team of highly skilled control systems professionals, such as programmers, electrical engineers, and technicians.
  • Proposing, planning, and coordinating the technological roadmap for Heaten’s industrial automation systems.
  • Ensuring the selection of optimal control system equipment and tools to meet project and operational needs.
  • Coordinating cross-functional collaboration between departments such as process design, mechanical design, and digitalization to ensure software development aligns with specifications and requirements.

Your Profile

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • A technical degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma) in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, including management experience.
  • Hands-on experience in test applications, installation, and commissioning.
  • Solid expertise in designing and operating real-time control systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the development of electrical systems, instrumentation, and complex industrial automation software.
  • Familiarity with traditional automation systems such as Siemens S7 is a plus.
  • Proficient in modern PLC programming languages and development tools (e.g., CoDeSys).
  • Skilled in at least one high-level programming language, such as C# or C++.
  • Experience working in international environments.
  • Fluency in English, with German proficiency being a strong advantage.
  • A passion for managing and collaborating with a team of individuals from diverse professional backgrounds.
